Bill Lisle is the owner of both Lisle Inc., a landscape construction company in Plano, Texas, and Smith-Lisle Holdings, a real estate holding and management company in Collin County. Running his own business is a venture he began back in 1988- the year his father died and he decided as an eleven year old to take a lawnmower and set about making a life for himself. With hard work, unrelenting perseverance, creativity, and a passion for excellence, Bill has grown that business into a successful enterprise over the years- making a good honest living doing what he loves.
The City of Plano’s increasingly one-size-fits-all approach to development and their inconsistent regulations without regard to public welfare have presented challenges for him, as they have for many other business owners. Nevertheless, Bill remains passionate about doing life and work in Plano. His relationship and interdependence with other local business owners is a particular strongpoint of the community for him. He has made the bet with friends before that whatever goods and services his business might require can be found within one mile of his office in East Plano… and hasn’t been proven wrong yet. Bill served two years as a CASA of Collin County volunteer, has been actively involved in his church since 1999, and he embraced his most prized role in December of 2013 when his son Ford Lisle was born.
